Title: 346xp Muffler Mod Husqvarna
Post by: Cut4fun . on February 05, 2013, 05:02:27 pm
I give guys 2 choices on 346 muffler mods. This is one I like and the new owner of this 346 wanted. The other is out the front lower part of muffler through the muffler brace.

We are not worried about spark screens on this, so even the stock screen was removed.  If I had to use spark screen I would either used self tapping screws or just rivet down in place.
I really like the rivets holding the deflectors on. Had  a few in the past  using the self tapping screws back out and noticed the deflectors just swinging around by 1 loose screw or blew off when both screws fell out.

Also noticed by using tach that the saw had picked up 700-800 rpm on just the muffler mod with no adjustments made from when tested stock.  Just wanted to see and compare.
