Has a Oregon style nose.

Might be made by whoever makes the Forester's?

There bars don't seem bad but I would advise to stay away from there chains. They aren't made very well and soon loose there edge.

A friend of mine has a few of them and he says the sprocket tips do not hold up so well. He also does land clearing . So that may have something to do with it or the guys he has running them.

I just bought a archer bar to try out on a 025 firewood cutters saw on a budget. Never had one before to know anything about them.

I hear their chains are junk but for $5 more I could get a chain. So I did to check it out too.

Crossing fingers.

On the chain box I noticed the kangaroo as a logo for Australia.
Fascinating looking animal. Looks like a mule deer with deformed front legs and tail.

Chain cut good right out of box. Wasnt expecting that.  Didnt file on it so dont know how soft the metal is or not.

Greased bar tip real good. Bar looks nice built anyways.  Didnt test bar railing with file to see hardness. Now how well it holds up.

Only time will tell me.

With the feedback of the last one I bought being good so far. I just bought a 18" set for a stihl 290 063 for another firewood cutter.

So when they start coming back I can see if they are wearing decent or not.

Wish they would have plugged the hole. But doubt will cause them troubles.

No Idea who manufactures " Forester's" but the Archers in the beginning were of Chinese manufacture no idea if they still are

Archer (US) recently launched a US website, where a lot of their products are shown, and are selling some products on Amazon, as well as eBay.
https://archerplus.com

They also distribute Tecomec products and TsuMura bars from those sites.

Tsu bars are high unless it includes shipped in price. I can get the 20" ones 20 cheaper before shipping.
