Do they all come from the "same" factory?  Did Pioneer/Partner used to be in that mix?

Pioneer and Partner were in that mix too.

You have to watch as some models of some of these brands may be made in China?

So, I just rebuilt a Poulan 3000 for a friend. Didn't really look at the COM to see if it was Sweden but the parts and design sure looked Husqvarna/Partner-ish. Where were these saws actually made?

The 3000 is a 3 cube (49cc) chainsaw built (likely) in the late 80's in Shreveport, LA.

The Poulan saws were a mess trying to keep up with all the variations and combinations of Beaird Poulan, Electrolux, Poulan Pro, and Poulan/Weed Eater. Some were even made in Sweden.

Husky owns many factories around the world, but most of the better quality Husky/Jred saws are still made at the "parent" factory in Huskvarna (note spelling), Sweden - and have been since around 1990. Some older Husky models are made in Brazil though.
Today, all Jred models are based on a Husky model - but that has been a gradual process. Some Partner and Poulan Pro saws have also been made at that factory, but aren't currently.

The whole story (that includes several brands not mentioned here so far) is a long and complicated one, starting around 1977.

The parent company Electrolux AB set up Husqvarna as a subsidiary with it's own board and stock offering (they are still the majority share holder) some years ago and went back to the core business of making 'white goods' (refrigeration equipment). Husqvarna is now the the largest manufacturer of forestry and lawn and garden equipment in the world, they are constantly adding more. In 2007 they bought the Chinese arm of McCulloch which supplied North America and now own it world wide.
