Title: WTB Husqvarna 346xp at a reasonable price
Post by: Gunrush128 on October 06, 2013, 12:21:29 pm
LIke the title says, I'm looking for a 346xp at a reasonable price.  I'd prefer NE in very good condition with stock top-end.  PHO is okay, or if a bar and chain are included, that's okay too.  Please let me know what you have to offer, and how much you're looking to get for it.  Thanks!!  Chris

Check with spike60 username here. He had new for goooooood prices. Might have a used in too, never know.

Also take a look at a husqvarna 545 a detuned 550xp.  I would take the 545 over a 346xp. Owned all 3.

Is Neal Murphy on this site?  He often has rebuilt 346XP's for sale for very reasonable prices.  He rebuilds them himself....

To continue the theme of suggesting an alternate Husqvarna model................................I have a good running 45mm/52cc Husky 350 that I'd sell/trade for a reasonable price.:D

Personally I wouldnt buy rebuild  from nmurph. He knows not to use certain circlips, but yet he keeps installing them in 346 saws he sales.
Yeah he has a groupie following on AS, but that is how that place is.  I am not the only one that has seen this and know others that have had to fix his saws for others, thats why he is quick to hush the situation over there.
Plus the dang prices he ask for a used 346 is near what new was PHO from spike60. JMO

I was even thinking a 353 and later put a 50cc 346 top on  if they felt they still needed more.

I messaged spike60 and I'm waiting on his reply now.  I really want a saw that is all OEM.  Eventually, I may mod the muffler and send it out to get ported.  There are a couple I'm watching on eBay, but you just can't tell what you're really buying...  What model Jonsered is equivalent to the 346 and 550xp?  Jonsered saws look sharp... No pun intended...

Yikes.  I didn't know that.  Will keep that in mind....

I'm no 'groupie'.  My only experience with him was when he sent me some parts for my 350.  Only had me pay shipping.

He treats folks right on that.
I have just caught onto some things that I keep seeing posted over by folks on purchases and folks I talk to in back ground.

So yesterday evening, I found a literally like-new 346xp NE on Craigslist for a steal. The saw has had less than a tank of gas through it and the bar has next to no paint wear. Thanks for all the help!

That very cool.

Like I said watch CL and be quick to snag. You cant think about it when they are posted there. The bloodhounds are always on the move.

Glad one came along for ya.
