Title: Poulan Font on "S6000"
Post by: Bitburger on October 16, 2013, 03:47:54 pm
Hi,

does anybody know what font was used for the label ?

I want to plot one for a new sprocket cover.
Haven't found sth. similar in my standard-fonts on the PC  :P

If someone has a scanned image of a good label this also would help a lot, e.g. by doing pixel by pixel...
otherwise "Tw Cen MT Condensed Extra Bold" also might be an option, with manual modifications.

best Chris

Yeah, I see one pic, this is where I got the example from  ;D

Is that yours? If so, shame on you  ;D ;D ;D

I am done with the logo itself actually, by squeezing the original recent logo from the web page within a graphic program to get it italic.

Now I still have to get the "S6000 countervibe" and the overall label-shape digitized...it seems that thy used another font for these words, maybe with an even larger reference-image I might be able to find sth. in MS-office that matches.

I think one is modfiedmarks and the other one not sure who owns it.

ok, done with a very nice label, could not find the real font, however I came close, at least I could live with that.
Also got it to fit nicely considering the exact dimensions, after a few trials.

Nevertheless, I was not able to produce a suitable label.
I ordered some high performance super transparent foil for laser printer, 7 bucks the single sheet,
sticks like hell, sold for outdoor use.

But the toner does not attach as it should. I can scratch it away with my bare finger.

damn! Any thoughts ? Isn't there some online label printing in the States, where you can just upload your file and they would print it for you and send it back?
