Don't be using a 166 for work!!! Put it on the shelf and look at it or make it a hotsaw!!!!!! :) :) :) ;)

If only. It has to earn its living I,m afraid.

I had a oiler go out on one of my 166. It was the gear on the pump of the oiler itself. Watch it 2 different gears. I ruined a brand new oiler once.
Yes they are adjustable, if working.
Here is one http://www.ebay.com/itm/SACHS-DOLMAR-166-OIL-PUMP-CHAINSAW-OILER-GOOD-USED-PART-/400245076733

There is, I already stated it was adjustable.
-
Ok thanks I see the ebay oil pump and the worm gears, where is the adjuster?
-
The IPL and feebay pic shows it. I will try and add a pointer to pic.
-
Circled. Look at bottom of crankcase on bar side for a hole that may be filled with wood chips etc.
-
Thats great thanks, anti clock for more oil I take it?
-
It should show on crankcase. Clean it off and see. I want to say yes, but cant remember.
-
See the indent in crankcase under clutch drum right center. Follow up to adjusting screw.
