Title: Raising the handle bar on Husky's
Post by: alsled on December 03, 2013, 06:54:41 pm
I found by just raising the bar 1.25 to 1.5 and increasing the dia. of the grip makes life a lot much easier.  I have big hands and the stock dia is way to small.
Not sure if this should be here or welding forum??
Just cut, shape, tack weld, with spool gun, grind, add friction tape to desired dia.

Works great on large twisted up hands.

Neat you can make those adjustments on your handles.

The one on this 3120 was cut and re-angled and also perfect balance  with the pipe. If you held saw with 1 finger around the handle where the yellow tape is the saw was balanced so perfectly and  level for the cut, up down and sideways.

Good job to alsled.

I cant take any credit. Cliff Helsel either does the handles on his built saws or shops it out to someone to do for him.  I never ask.

The other guys work is nicer looking then mine, I'm just a back yard welder.  Its 100 % functional and my welds never break, but not as pretty as the pros :(

I was going to put a 350 together tonight, but was sent only the bearings and no seals, like the kit was suppose to contain >:(

Echo nut a memeber here from Ohio is a pro welder. He did a 5000 handle for me once.  Couldnt even tell it when he was done.
