Partner 5000 plus PHO weight.

One of my favorite all time saws.

Nice - no real surprice there. :)

Now it would be interesting to compare it to a P5500 and/or PP325....

Niko I never weighed any of my poulan pro 325 saws. They felt just like the partner 5000 saws in my hands.

Did find this info that puts it in that area of PHO weight and what they sold for new.  So they were only sold 3 years?

Thanks, that makes sense!

The main reason I asked is that the only specs I have seen for the P5500 show a weight of about 12.1 lbs (5.5 kg really).

I don't know how long those saws were made, in either color.

Btw, 1988 - 1990 indicates they all were made at the Husky factory.

I was given a 5000 Plus by a co-worker this week. If the cyl cleans up its will get a 246 piston. If not whats out there for cylinder options?

Have you tried aftermarket?  Piston http://chainsawrepair.createaforum.com/partner/44mm-aftermarket-partner-5000-plus-and-jonsered-490-piston-kit/

Husky 50, 51 55 some 45mm 46mm. jred 490. 590 45mm. partner 500 open port. poulan 325 46mm hard to find cylinder, oem piston still out there.
