Bump - this is a really hard question, as that saw is quite uncommon and was built in an ususual way (horisontal split magnesium case). There were no counterparts from other brands, even though they were made at the Partner factory. Other saw in the same "family" were the 520 and the 535, but the 2051/2054 and 2055 also had a similar type of case.
I have no idea if the cylinders from any of those can be used though? ???

I just read on another forum that both the 510 and the 520 used the same piston as the 525 (not really a surprice).

If you find the solution please tell us, i have got 2 525 with old pistons.
Is it possible to find an after market cylinder that fits the 525?
-
Top ends from a 450 or 455 will also fit.
-
Yes but where to find new?
-
Tilton actually still has some of the 44cc cylinder kits from the 455; part number 503104203. Price is about $200.
Don't see a location for you, but I'm guessing outside the US? I'm unable to help you, but maybe someone else would be able to.

Not a surprice, but those do of course make less power, at just 44cc.

Chainsawr and liredbarn both have AM pistons

Yes I just replaced the piston in my 525, after market from Chainsawr. Seems to work fine.
