Title: why do saw specs differ between husq usa site and german kwf test site?
Post by: 1manband on April 06, 2014, 07:28:04 am
just minor differences, and won't amount to a hill of beans to most.

working on some fuel related things, and trying to be as accurate as possible.

are the differences between the specifications possibly related to different fuels used for the power/TQ numbers between the two countries?  found that a spec fuel is used for these tests, but nothing else.

if anyone can translate the german term, "literleistung" it would help.  the english spec page lists it as "spec. fuel consumption", but believe something was lost in the translation, because the "kW/l" (kilowatts per liter) term is related to specific power not specific fuel consumption.

found some interesting things along the way, and will post them for all the modern saws i have data for, when i'm done.
