Post by: Jason K on June 04, 2014, 09:28:51 pm
I bought the PS-32 saw as I said I would. I just got too it today.I wanted to richen up alitte bit and there it a tube with a white sold hard covering over the high side needle :o. Never seen anthing like it in my life working on saws I buy. I was wondering how to get that out.I am thinking of taking out the low side needle and taking my dremel and cut off the the tube. Of crouse I would go around the tube until it fell off. Is there a nother way to get too it??? Please help..

Thanks you
Jason

Take it back to the dealer and tell them your problem.

There has been instances whereby they have supplied a new carb without the white junk around the needle when the engine didn't run right. But they will have to order it.

Other people have dug the white junk out. It is some type of epoxy.

The poobahs at the EPA hath decreed thou shalt not mess with thy hi speed mixture. A dealer has to be careful, there are stiff penalties for altering a carburetor so do what you have to do.

If it doesn't run properly take it back to the dealer and they should replace it under warranty.  New carbs just have the standard plastic limiter caps. Epa decided that epoxy was a good deterrent to us average folk tuning a carb and adding to the climate change (global warming doesn't fit anymore) If that isn't an option disassemble the carb and take a small butane torch heat it for a second them take a pick and dig it as much as you can.  Repeat that until it is all out. Watch that you don't get carb to hot.

If you only need to tweak it a bit an want a quick and easy fix, you can just cut the tab off the aluminum tube that holds the epoxy.  It hits on the carb body preventing you from turning the whole thing.

Well I took out the white stuff a week ago.The white stuff is pushed under the screw to so no luck.I did put about a good 12 hrs on it in the last week it stopped the 4 cycle sound on the top end now. I took it to the dealer and he said there is no other carb he can put on it. Just the same one with with the white stuff on it. So what do I do now? If there is another carb for it with standard plastic limiter caps if so what model of carb is it so I can order it..

Thank you
Jason

All other forum threads have been that the replacement carb has no white stuff. That it is supposed to be put on the carb by the dealer.

There was a big warranty flap on this last year for people were bringing their Dolmar's in that wouldn't run because they were too lean to run.
