Title: 410 Homelite parts

Since there is nothing in the Homelite category...

Anyone have a full-wrap handle for a 410 Homelite?  I have one here for rebuild and another on the way.  Looks like the cutoff saw wraps are different

I could use a chainbrake assy and a coil or two also.  Pics to follow when I get into them.

I have a 410 on the project waiting list. In excellent shape except for the 25 year old gas/goop that's in the fuel tank. How do these things actually run? Kind of wondering if I'm going to want to mess with this saw.

I havent seen a full wrap for a 410 yet. I bet they would look just as sweet as the 540 with a wrap, cool looking saws!

I got mine not running, so I cannot say.  It is in need of a carb kit, but weak on compression.  I decided to just go through it all the way.  There is another 410 coming here from up your way.  The thing is 70cc's, so it has some potential.  The piston is thin-ring.  Goofy carb and spark plug setup on it, but workable in any case.  If yours had a bad ignition, you're pretty well hosed.  They are out there, but only used on two saws that I know of.  Fortunately, 410 parts on Ebay are not too crazy (yet.)  Lets keep this under our hats.

mweba had some vids on another site recently of his 410.  Seems to run pretty well.

Well worth the effort.  Many have stated they are a pain to work on, I did not have this feeling.  Stopped by my local old time Homie dealer last Wednesday to check on part availability.  Many are still in the system, have an intake boot on the way for my 410 and 540.

Mine is just in too nice condition to not get it going, so I'll give it a go at some point. Top end is in fine shape. It doesn't look like it's that hard to work on, it's just that the layout is kind of strange. First time I took the top cover off, I was thinking, "So, where's the carb?"  :P
