Roger here is some pics and hope you can tell what you are needing. It is super heavy duty compared to those store bought ones.
This is a homemade t post puller a guy that worked with metal and welding did for me on a trade for a project chainsaw years ago.
-
And here I've been using a floor jack and a chain?
-
Floor or bumper jack?
I havent had a bumper jack since I sold my 65 66 69. Never even thought about using them back then. Good idea.
-
I used a regular hydraulic floor jack.
TSC used to sell a tripod crank up fence post puller. Back in the 70's it was like $28
Now they have one just like yours for $59

I think that was the one mine was sort of copied from. Mine weighs more then that and has a carrying handle built in.
-
BTW, a floor jack isn't very handy out in a rotor tilled field.
-
Do you put fence up every year like me? If so give me holler sometime and I'll pull them if not in a hurry.
-
No, I've pulled up a few newspaper box posts over the years and also have used to floor jack to pull up 4 X 4 treated posts from old decks and fishing piers when the lake water went down in the fall.
-
Thanks Kevin. Those pictures are perfect and I get the concept on how to make one.
That is a great T- post puller.
-
I have been using T-post for stacking all my firewood. After the house gets built I may relocate where I have it now and will need to pull a bunch of post.
-
Ok here is a T-post puller I just finished up yesterday and pulled a post with it today.
All can say is I would have had a heck of time pulling out that post with out it. Works great.
Thanks for the ideas and examples.

Yep best trade I ever made. Some guy on racesaws made mine for a 029 or super parts saw.
Made my life so much easier every spring.
Looks great Roger.

Looks like the high lift jack modified?

Just an old bumper jack that I had laying around.

Great use for them. Nice idea.

I had one of those out side freeze proof hydrants that was no longer connected and down into the ground about 5 feet. I clamped a good pair of vice grips to it and lifted it out with the bumper jack t-post puller I made. It had been in the ground for about ten years. I am going to re- purpose the pipe into another peavy. My last one worked real good on big logs but would not fit the small ones very good.

I've used a floor jack and chain to pull them out.
-
That sounds even more red neck than my bumper jack. How did you attach the chain.
-
The 1/4" chain had the narrow link hooks on the ends.
I made a few wraps around the post to take up the slack with a "C" clamp above the chain.
I had to put a board under the front wheels of the jack
