I only know of 1 pdf down-loadable 084 SM and the site charges $4.95 to do so for a temp membership. I never tried it to see if it was a copy of my hard copy manual or not. Sorry but I already passed mine on to another 084 owner.
Then there is a generic 084 SM from some chainsaw book with a bunch of saws in it. I think it is still in pdf somewhere, but it is no where near the stihl 084 oem SM.
What info you needing on a 084? We might be able to help (heck I owned 4 of them myself).

Thanks I'll check out to see if Bill G still has any. I've just picked up the 084 second hand and at this stage it's all running sweet but I thought it'd be good to have a manual just in case. Can you remember the name of the download site. I've google search a few but not sure how legit they are.

All I have is the SM on micro fitche and have no way to copy it . A bunch of of though have the IPL's for that or just about any saw ever made if you get a hold of the right person .

Also Amazon.com shows a hard copy for $18 and $3.99 shipping.
