Wondering about your experiences with Jack's? Seems like everytime I order, there is always a long delay before they fill the order. And their order status system just adds a day to the estimate everyday, so obviously, it's just an automated piece of crap. Maybe I missed it but seeing whether a part is is stock when you order it would certainly be better than the current system.

Only time I have had a delay has been when something wasnt in stock. I told them ship without the part and got the other items right away.

Wish they showed in stock etc too, like Ordertree.com ;)

I've gotten a few things from Jack's .So far it's worked out okay .Tulsa engine was the one that annoyed me.
They went strictly "e business" no one to talk to .I took my business else where .
On line shopping is not like brick and mortar stores .If a dealer annoys you it isn't like you have to drive 40 miles to find another .That option you can do in a few moments while sitting behind a keyboard enjoying a beverage .

Well, I cancelled this order using their on-line form [The only method apparently] and they still shipped 9 days after initial order. I will be returning the entire batch and will try someone that shows order status during the order process.

I was just following the instructions given by the person on the 800 line.  Maybe he was having a bad day, I don't know. Water under the bridge at this point.

I use jacks from time to time on some stuff i dont have access to, I figure 2 weeks for delivery of said items, its not usually far off from that. Sadly though its not usually off the wall parts I am after....usually its just normal maintenance stuff like air filters and breather tubes.


In their defense, IPL's that show inventory are custom programmed which means HUGE money....I looked into it since i am getting ready to switch my site over to partsmart lookup and really wanted live inventory on the site. Figured out that was not possible with any off the shelf software and made a few calls on having custom programming done to add it, about fell over with the amount they wanted just as a deposit to start work on it.
