Title: Which saw for milling; 2094, or 2186
Post by: wild262 on March 22, 2016, 09:35:12 pm
Got a itch to do some milling of oak & walnut.  Have 2 big saws.  Both Jonsereds, a 2094 and a 2186.  Would 1 be any better than the other?  Thanks.

Actually having both of those saws....I'd toss that walnut up on my LT28 and be finished with it.

Really though, the 2094 I have is Mastermind rebuilt/ported and would do fine.  The 2186 is running a 32inch, and it runs well enough also....  Both would be equal in speed while milling with the same bar/chain combo.  But I'm getting older now, and I don't like crawling on the ground anymore.  So the sawmill still wins.

Where are you located?  I do travel to mill....
