Title: Homelite 1050 (Maybe)
Post by: Revpop on April 20, 2016, 01:35:00 pm
I didn't go looking for this saw, it found me via the wife's car trunk one day from one of her co-workers.  Funny how if you have a fair collection of chainsaws how the word spreads.  The ID tag departed long ago, and I have not torn into until I learn or confirm exactly what it is I am taking apart first, but based on my preliminary research online it looks to be a 1050. I have not attempted to start or do anything with it yet.  Missing the cover for the exhaust I'm guessing and looks like may have been full wrap handle that got hacksawed off at some point?

I have that exact same saw! Refurbishing for a friend of a relative. A guy from another site sent me the hole parts break down. I could do the same for you if you like

Huskyslinger- thanks for the reply.  I may take you up on your offer after I will take a look at the saw and perform a preliminary inspection to determine if this hulk has healthy enough innards to pursue towards fixing.  I haven't attempted to turn it over, looked at the piston or anything yet.  I'm hoping that bad crank seals didn't kill this saw years ago...This pig would be a beautiful saw wearing pretty new lipstick and a shiny bar again.
