Title: 395 XP Carb Question
Post by: rayvil01 on January 03, 2017, 11:16:34 am
I have an 04 vintage 395 XP.  Tillotson Carb is marked HS and 298A350.  Tried to put an RK-23-HS rebuild kit into it and discovered the needle was much bigger in the kit than the carb.   The old needle is not seating.  That carb is not even listed on the Tillotson page so it must be obsolete.  I can buy a 501355501 replacement carb from any of a number of places.  Hate to spend that much money without exploring options.

Tillotson lists that RK-23-HS kit for all the HS carbs it lists.  But, again, it doesn't list my carb.

Any thoughts would be appreciated.  Thanks.

Ray
