Walbro’s revolutionary new Spiral metering diaphragm is unaffected by ethanol and provides consistent fuel delivery, engine performance and exhaust emissions throughout the life of hand-held products.

miracle innovations never cease?
-
neat idea but total cost for the average consumer to retrofit one saw/trimmer is close to $30.....$20 for the diaphragm and $9.32 for the new mandatory gauge.
-
I think that is awesome and would gladly spend the money so that I do not have rebuild any of my carbs again. Just think any one of my saws that has been sitting on a shelf for 2 or 3 years would just fire right up with no carb problems.
-
In the video he said the new gauge is included in the spiral diaphragm kit so that makes it 20 bucks total. Reasonable if you have a carb in rebuild-able condition.
Wonder how soon the Asian fakes will hit the market?

I want to try some in my older keeper poulans if they are available.

Me too. Esp. in my 1-HDA137 and 1-HDA87.

retro fit selector. http://www.walbro.com/spiraldiaphragm/

Wonder if that is all the retrofits they are planning? Not very many numbers in the drop down.
-
That is not a very good selection for us saw users. Maybe more will come in the future.

I did email walbro and asked them about the spiral diaphragms for WJ series carbs. Below is there response.
" At this moment we do not have a Spiral Diaphragm Kit for the WJ-76 but we do have our engineering actively working on more of these carburetors.
I expect to have a concrete answer or direction for you within the next couple of months."

brilliant. now when is someone going to make some decent fuel line!
