Just so people know all the past Admin was taken out with the trash.

Adam I was looking for a pic of the racesaws coffee cup I had. You got any?
I did find this ole banner from 09
(http://web.archive.org/web/20090225184933im_/http://pages.videotron.com/saws/images/top2)
Just so folks know that site got hit by the red x hackers when AS was hit back when. No longer up and running.
-
Things you find when digging for stuff. Just found a new RaceSaws shirt in XL in the closet. Be giving that away as I know why that one never got wore out like the XXL ones.
Has above banner across front with Manton lumberjack event on back.
-
Dang found a half of a sleeve of new racesaws hats too :o. Just sitting on shelf in barn in plastic still. :-\
-
All kinds of racesaws stuff you had stashed.
-
Cool! Do miss the wealth of info that was there.

I know. There's lots of stuff I wish I had saved the info about. There's no other site that does much race saw stuff.
-
Kev, my Racesaws.com stuff is long gone. Real shame all that great info is MIA, i'll give Rick a shout and see if he or Craig have any of logo stuff saved.

I still have my hat. I wear it all the time.
-
I have mine too.
-
Kevin I'd like to have one of those hats.

PM me your addy again.

Concerning that site it started out good .Towards the end it became quite frankly a pissen match which was too bad it went that way .
I've heard the story right from the source and it should never have gone down that way. At any rate it caused a lot of hard feelings .Water over the dam at this point .
I haven't talked to Rick in a while so weather it gets running again is hard to say .Since though a few forums have popped up .The info is still there you just have to seperate the wheat from the chaff sometimes ;)
-
There's still no site with all the race saw building stuff going on like there was then.
-
2008-2010 there was a wealth of knowledge shared there. Never was the same after the 1st meltdown when Helsel's wouldnt sell out to him and all the info lost on the take down. Just a shame it was all trusted to 1 POS ecsaws aka woodsjunkie with the keys and passwords.
#2 RS was a total joke IMO and I wouldnt even go back as the POS was still admin. Even told Rick and Cliff I wouldnt be back till he was gone. POS wouldnt give Cliff the info to the site and took it down with him. Rick had the site turned off so they could start fresh without the POS ecsaws aka woodsjunkie.
#3 RS try was just that, all the energy and great folks had had enough of losing their info.
-
Mike when I shipped the hat. I didnt offer you the XL Manton Racesaws shirt because I figured you were in the same boat as me.
-
Yeah an XL won't help me out either.
-
I think the worst lose of info was regarding certain piston dimensions etc .cylinder bolt patterns ,ignition swaps etc .
The actual porting shapes, sweeps, fingers etc is pretty much a choice of the the guy doing it .What might work for one might not for another .Flat top ,raised dome, hemi domed,it's all in the mind of the tuner/builder .
It could evolve into a good discusion but often was just a pissen match .If I live to be a hundred and 5 I don't think I'll ever figure out some of the California sense of humor . ;D
-
Good post
-
I have some stuff too!

Anyone wear XL t-Shirt? Jack?
-
I'll take the shirt.
Do you still have my address?

Yep I sure would like to put a punt kick to the nads of the little pos that burned all that info down around him. He is also a THIEF = ecsaws woodsjunkie. Caught him twice in the last month I had anything to do with him.
