Title: New raker grinder
Post by: Cut4fun . on February 15, 2020, 12:10:17 pm
Since the silvey raker grinder is no more. Anyone know anything about this new prototype raker grinder? =

Raker Grinder prototype we have about complete. These units should be on sale soon. We have a list of people interested now if you would like to be on that list please get me your name and phone number. We will be filling orders in order of our list. Hoping to ship April-May. I should have some good video next week to post. Works great.. same set up and operation as the Silvey HDG-6. Just finishing up some final touches. Again this is a prototype. the power cord and switch will be on the side and cord will go out the back.

Thanks!!. The new DGG-6 raker grinder should be available hopefully April/May. We currently have a waiting list, if interested please let me know.. We are located in Northern Wisconsin where this will be manufactured along with our semi automatic sharpener.. The Chain Shark. www.thechainshark.com. Our company is Laona Machine Supply. My email to get on our list or for any other questions is rick@laonamachine.com. The raker grinder is basically a clone of the old Silvey HDG-6 with a few modifications and improvements. I should have some good video to share next week. As for price we will also keep everyone informed as we begin production. Obviously we want to keep it as low as possible and everything depends on quantities as we begin the manufacturing process. Our first thoughts are to keep around $800 with stand and grinder but will know more in the coming weeks. Thanks Rick

I didnt for the silvey one and wanted it way back when.  Wont for this either. Just like to share new info when found for others.

I have a wheel set to do rakers on my USG. But I always find myself setting them by hand still. Even when doing bulk chains and when those dang 44"-60" 404 come in.
