I have a McCulloch Mini Mac30 with a fuel problem. I'm trying to remove the engine out of the caseing. It will not come out. I believe the on-off switch is the problem, but I'm afraid I will break the plastic knob if I try to pry it off (it is on very tight). Does it pry off? Or what is my problem? Help!

Don't be taking a crowbar to it now .
I hate to be the bearer of bad news but you'll have to figure out how to deshell that little gem because you can't work on anything unless the cover is off .
You take enough screws out of that cover eventually it will come off .BTW that thing has a points ignition .
In addition not to be pessimistic but you picked the absolute worst saw ever made to work on .On the other hand anybody that can wrench a mini Mac should be a cantidate for saint hood or at least get honorable mention .

To Al (and all): I got the engine out of the case. There was so much old sawdust and oil in the case that is would not release. On the bottom and back end of the plastic fuel tank there is a tab that sticks down and out of the case, but it is even with the outside bottom. I missed seeing it. It was still hell trying to release it because of all the debris in the case.
Now I can get to the original problem. No fuel to the carb. I hope I don't need help, but if I do, I will be back.

Probabley what you have is typical of most mini Macs .The carb innards have dried out stiff as a bone and won't pump gas .They get stuck on a shelf for years until somebody has the gumption to try and repair them .
If it has a Zama m1-m7 those rebuild kits are getting rare .If it has a Walbro md 15-16 those kits are more readily available or at least were the last I checked .
One weak link on the mini are the oil pumps .Some like the 110-120's just weren't worth a pinch of coon chit .Perhaps this model is better ,don't really know although I think I might have one of same hiding in the shed some place .
