Manual Sawing Pruning / Re: Manual Pruning tree trimming
« Last post by Cut4fun . on Today at 08:14:41 am »
We aint getting any younger. Hated using a ladder and hated the rope getting hung up. So this year went on a search and bought 3 different pruners on a stick.
One was a no name ( anvil ) but got it because was on sale at Home depot. The other 2  fiskars with rotation heads making it easier to reach and cut the suckers off all the fruit tree limbs.

Fiskars 1 5' and other one 16'.  16' one we havent tried yet as the weather went back to winter time.

No name ( anvil ) for now since cant think of it is a cheaper version of the fiskars 60" style. Only bought because it was on sale half price.

Holzfforma Farmertec stihl combi clone can troubleshooting.

Seen another guy talking about how slow gas filling up was. I never noticed it as I just keep watching till full.

So today I dug in mine that is close 2 years old maybe hair less.

But like in other thread the tube that is in the OEM stihl spout dont come in the farmertec gas spout.

I also noticed flashing at my vent area at tip. So cleaned that out and made sure clear to tip as shown with a tiny screwdriver in pic.

I tested again without the tube in and was still slow going into a clear 1 gal can I was filling to watch.

So I then installed the 3mmx5mm echo oem fuel line for a tube into the very tip (that part is tricky). Then made sure in both U shaped guides inside spout. The closest you can push in with finger. But make sure stays in all the way to tip.
I left a couple inches out past cap to go into can. Pours way faster now.

I didnt not try the auto stop feature that it should have with tube installed. I dont even use that on my OEM husqvarna one.

Whatever you do dont buy the cheaper no named ones on temu that look like holzfforma ones but temu teases ya with black spouts they dont send.
They are not sending the spouts to folks that got those. 🤦
The spouts are the expensive part on all these combi's.

The other guy in Farmertec group said he did this too and the auto stop feature did work for him.

It is a thin ring.It is actually a craftsman 3.7. I'm not real computer literate , so I haven't learned how to post a photo. I should learn.

Thanks for that. I did place an order with Northwood saw 2 nights ago. That was a great price . I also got a chain and a carb kit. Total shipping was $7.95. No one else even came close on price.
I also practiced heating and bending the broken piece. I got pretty good at it too.
Thanks again for the reply.

Thats how guys fix them in harder to get springs. Using heat and bending them.

I have never had to do that yet.
