thrust spring for mcculloch 380 chain saw cluch
« on: June 06, 2016, 10:21:47 pm »
I would appreciate a little help.  Does this clutch have a thrust spring?  I replaced the sprocket and it did not have one.  Seems to have a lot of play back and forth between the sprocket and the clutch shoes.  Also any idea where I can purchase a flexloc nut to secure the clutch.

Thanks,

Tom

If it's the coil spring that wraps around the shoes ,it's part number 51468A .Same as a 250,450,550 and probably a dozen more .They show a two shoe clutch and a 4 shoe clutch .The number is for the 4 shoe .

However they list several complete clutchs for about 20 bucks .I could not find that specific spring number but it may have been superceded with another .
