The saw blades do good on multi-flora rose stems. I have one on a straight shaft Mac.

The metal blades act a little different on the trimmer because of their weight and the flywheel action. Slow to get up to speed and then they coast.

Te slack in the drive system will cause surges.
We should share what we know... someone may learn...
