Chainsaw Repair

I had a Weed Eater hedge trimmer that wouldn't run. I replaced the fuel lines and rebuilt the Zama. Stihl wouldn't draw fuel. Not even the purge bulb.

This thing had a regular size fuel line for the return from the purge bulb. The fuel supply line is a tiny thing.

The fuel lines came down off the carb and through the handle and down into the tank. There were several turns and opportunities to kink.

I finally found that the two little clips they used to Siamese the supply and return fuel lines were squeezing the small fuel supply line shut.

I removed the clips and put a loose wire wrap there to keep the fuel lines together.

The hedge trimmer started up and ran fine after that.

I took the handle back apart and fought with the new lines to keep them from kinking.
