Chainsaw Repair

Guys I hope i dont seem to be hogging your forum or time but i do have a question.
 On my 5000's the switch is a regular problem the "female ?" wire connector that is slid into the bottom of the red plastic switch always seems to not stay in place or the wire itself is too stiff or somthing always keeps me from being able to use my switchs so I have to choke the saws to shut them off. If you have used a 5000 for very long you probably know what I mean this just seems to be a design flaw of sorts to me. I did on one saw replace the stiff wire with a more flexable one and that does work better, is there a easy or better way to keep the switch working better?
 Also In vocational school we learned that a turn and a quarter on High and Low speed jets will most often be close enough to get a saw started. I tend to have to adjust these settings a couple of times per season is this normal? I figure the screws may be working out due to vibration. Does anyone else experience this sort of thing? Thanks for your time and if you can see I am going to be a problem already by asking too many questions just say so. Jeff

Yes I do have the springs it is not really that big a deal I can live with the adjustment I guess.I just came in from the shop and I re-wired 2 of the saws with smaller more flexable wire. I also had to make a strap to replace the one at the front of the handle bar where it attaches to the saw body .I could not find one so I made one from a nylon braided garden hose it will work for now but I will need to pick one up. I go through them compleatly every so often so today was the day probably cut some wood tomorrow.

Yes I have done that also I have also used a small screw and an eyelet wire end and screwed ti to the under side of a old red plastic switch that had one side split away that works pretty well.

By God it works though dont it? I dont always have the right stuff but the wood dont know that! Glad i'm not alone.
