That saw looks similar to the Poulan 245 but the Pioneer 3200 is 77cc and the 245 is 73cc.   It seems to cut through your wood with no problem at all.
Nice job.  So does the Pioneer 3200 have a auto oiler or is it manual only.
Also being a older saw I assume it is reed valve too.

Been a while so I didn't see your post Roger.

It has a manual oiler only. The 3270 series have both. It is a reed valve saw. and pretty light for the displacement.
It's more like a Homelite XL-12 than anything else.
To save weight they sealed the top of the oil tank and the PTO side of the fuel tank with a piece of light gauge aluminum. Easy to puncture but both of them are completely covered so they can't get damaged.
It has good power. The downside as many would comment is the use of a primer instead of a choke. The primers go south over time but a collector friend of ours gave me some help on how to repair it and it does work well.
The saw has no idle speed adjust provision on the carb but uses a process (weird) called InjectAire that uses a screw that allows an air leak to adjust the idle speed. I found a combination of that and the idle mix screw worked. Not too easy to pressure and vac test as it's not entirely possible to eliminate the air leak.
I am impressed with the saw as it has very good power. The bar mount is a real oddball but a D096 or a D176 mount can be adapted. I like it enough that I will be keeping my eye open for one of the 3270 series.

I've since fabbed up a plug cover which are usually missing and a spike.
