Just a thought .A few years back I rebuilt the carb and tuned I think it was a J-red 525 which is right on the fence at 49 cc .The little thing was pretty impressive in stock form for a small saw although I'd imagine rather rare to find as most likely would be any parts .

I have never even seen a 254 but i hear they run real good.

I saw too many of them. Owned over 25 of them in the early 90's.

254 is a very strong saw for that class
