Seen a new one out.  https://www.wd40specialist.com/products/industrial-strength-cleaner-degreaser-1gal/?fref=gc

Anyone tried WD-40 Degreaser? Just figuring water based it might be safe for cylinders and plastics.

Says won't harm sensitive surfaces like aluminum, copper, glass and plastics. Might be good for ultrasonic cleaners too.

Bought some today to try on this guinea pig.

I've tried the aerosol version. Works pretty good.

First try just sprayed waited a min and rinsed and got most except for the heavy stuff. 2nd time used brush to get the heavy compacted stuff. Not bad and didnt streak or discolor the aluminum or plastics.

I found a foam aerosol version at our local Canadian Tire store.
Pic of it here, $7.99 is not a bad price either.  Haven't tried it yet.

This stuff I have tried, cleans really good and safe on my pickup's paint.
