Pink Bar Oil?
« on: February 08, 2014, 09:15:00 am »
Picked up a nice Husky 365 Special.   When I opened up the bar oil cap the oil reservoir was covered in pink fluid.  It looked identical to Pepto Bismol.  Weird look.   It flushed out ok.  But, I was wondering what that was.  Does someone sell pink bar oil?  You guys have seen everything.

I thought it might be bio-degradable oil that had fermented.  But, that's strictly a guess.

Probably had Dexron origins?

It was creamy pink.  I use Red Maxx oil which has a red tint.  It doesn't look anything like this did.

I contacted the seller.  He tells me the source of the mystery is Echo bar oil.  Apparently it looks just like Pepto Bismol.  Not familiar with the product.   But I can't see buying bar oil that looks like a stomach remedy.

Cool so does that mean after too much beer and hot wings you guzzle echo bar oil?

I have used echo bar oil before and it has a pinkish red color to it.  It works just fine.

I don't doubt you.  If I ever see a jug of it I have to buy it for curiosity sake.

I used to buy the poulan pro bar oil in black jug. It was dyed red (which I liked) and seemed thicker and tackier then the green bottle.
I no  longer can find it local so I just use, Green poulan, TSC, or the Tech in winter when needed.
