if you didn't really want to do a muffler mod, you could use the 'non' chainbrake rear and the chainbrake front to basicly give you a dual port muffler ;)

Just caught this info.  My 3750 with chain brake had front exit. Sounds like BB was onto something.

Well it kind of looks like Poulan put what muffler that had at the time on the 365,3500,3450,3750 series of saws.   It sure does look like they came with both front and side exit mufflers.

Just thought of something though. The newer 330 had side exit and chain brakes.

Roger your 3500 looked to have a side exit or did you use a different muffler?

That muffler was a front exit that I welded in and then cut the side open for the triple pipe.

You might be on to something though.   It could be the year the saw was made that determines what type of muffler it has.

Me too Jim. I'm horrible and getting my dad's shakes dont help.  He said in Vietnam while building bombs he had to make sure to time the shake.  :o

He finally got it diagnosed. but cant remember what it is called.
Was it Parkinsons?  My Granddaddy had it, broke my heart seeing him try to drink a cup of coffee or eat peas with a fork.

I agree it's probably YM & Type.

Yep.  My PP330 was chainbrake equipped and came with the side exit muffler.

Maybe that might be something in Canada or with just the 3500 365. But all my 3450 and 330 with chain brakes was side too.
