The 336 sure looked like a 335 but I guess the piston and rings are totally different.

Yep that was what I was thinking and then he stated put in new rings. That got me thinking.

NOTICE: Air filter cover reminds me of the 365 3500.

Forgot the pic last post.

I am surprised it did not sell for more.   $86.00 dollars seemed like a decent price to me.

I did not notice the cover was like the 365.  I guess I did not look close enough.

Maybe the recent glut of PP330 saws on ebay hurt that auction.  Must've been close to a dozen PP330s, a few 3450's, a PP380, at least one 3500, and some others I'm forgetting over the last month or two.

For older saws:
Tune the H side so that it 4-strokes (burbles) at WOT unloaded and just cleans up when under load.
When you lift cutting load, the saw should immediately revert to 4-stroking.  Fine tune the transition point for the wood you're cutting.

Yes. The covers are the same as my 3600.  The case is the same as the 365 - 380 so the muffler and covers are the same.

I noticed some crap on the back cylinder wall so I pulled the cylinder to check. No scoring, couldn't feel it. Maybe carbon from sawdust ingestion. Buffed it out anyway.
Here's a pic of the piston and rings. They are 0.56mm thick.
