That is an interesting point that they made some of these models in Poulan and Jonsered but not in Husqvarna.

I assume Husky regarded their own 272xp and 281/288xp as better saws - and then the 371xp when the P710/PP445 came out.

They likely were right about that.

Well not ever owning any of those models in Huskys I would not know.

I've owned/ran 288XP, 272XP, and 372XP Husqvarnas...............but haven't ran those PP saws.  I can saw that there are no flies on those Husky models.  You fellas sure like those PP models.............so they must be pretty damn good too...
