Before replacing any of the coils make sure none of the kill switch wires are grounded out somewhere.

could there be a husqvarna recoil spool that would replace this easy break spool.   I have no husqvarna parts on hand.  all poulan lists is same one.

The only replacements I know of are OEM.   Take one apart and see if you can modify one to work better.
I have had no problems with the 5020's that I have and I can still pull pretty good when I need to.

yes only $7.77 shipped on ebay for all 3 parts.  you are right on about those blower coils sometimes spark sometimes don't .   learned new lesson about muffler today if it blows off don't grab it    ;D it's hot

That is not good when your muffler blows off, and you are right they get pretty darn hot.

pulled a good starter cranked the craftsman 50 cc without a starter it ran great. cleaned up other 2 think they are ready to sell.  someone had put side cover on one cockeyed  made it act like chainbrake was on when off . raised brake band back up to proper higth it worked right again.
