The 260 I bought is labeled as a poulan 220 38cc like one of my past 260 were labeled 38cc.

The 2 poulan pro 220 260 on the bench now were made in 2002 and both list 42cc family on tag.

Took a 44dl and 55dl new chains and broke down to make a 62dl chain for a 18" bar.

Need to order some tenioners now as I like the tensioner in the clutch cover over the intenze bar if I had a choice.

They never actually made that engine in 38cc or 40cc, only 36 and 42cc (well and a few 46cc but I have not found one yet).  The PP260 with a muffler mod and little mild port work is a very nice saw.  Also the 34/64" carbs from the larger 46cc 295 saws will bolt right on, but you have to block off the purge bulb.
