Chainsaw Repair

The bar is the KO41 mount, same as on the Wildthing, 2550, etc.
The sprocket is available in rim and spur drive from Oregon, and any Oregon dealer can get you one.
The part number for the spur sprocket is #28006.
I can't find the rim drive number right now. They may have discontinued them.

Ha my stupidity and lack of totaly checking things out has caused me to order a carb kit for one of these little gems .I should have known better than to trust a 30 year old carb as being sound when I first looked into to the problem on my wifes' cousins saw .So it goes .

Say though I visited a site I seldom go into any more and low and behold found someone is souping up or attempting to an s-25 .Now that in itself is not earth shattering until I noted the simularities in design with the Stihl 020 and 200T engines .I had never had the occassion to ever get inside the little Poulans because they never go bad .

With few items the cylinder design is very simular excepting the Poulan is a full skirt non windowed piston ,reed valve as oppossed to the Stihl windowed cut skirt piston .I find that cylinder design more than coincidental and suggest it was copied .How 'bout them apples .

Now I can't help but wonder what .Even when the original 020 AV top handle came out it was not the saw the S-25 was and it was not until the S-25 went out of production did the 020T appear .Hmm the plot thickens .

After seeing that cylinder design it now appears very clear to me why for only 2.3 cubic inchs those little saws exibit so much torque .It's purely a matter of physics .

Yeah ,look at those transfers how they sweep towards the intake especially that inside one .They don't look quite as big in those blown up pictures as a 200T but they certainly do mimic it or rather vica versa as seems to be the case .

My little pea mind is spinning now .Got some ideas here and just happen to have an old s-25 lying around too.

Thank you for the part number . I had no idea you could still get the duckbill . Fact I think I have a couple of Lombards that spit gas too and it might even work on them .

I looked them up on flea bay and low and behold good ole Curt Bailey has a bunch of them for like 2.95 a pop .
