help/question
« on: September 30, 2014, 05:07:02 pm »
OK this is NOT a chainsaw question, but one about a leaf blower
 a poulan pro BVM200VS, model
I need to replace the ring on the piston
BUT when I pulled the head off teh connecting rod came off its splined shaft, and I don't know where or how to tell  where to re install it on the shaft?
is there marks on it that I have to line up to have top dead center or??
thanks for any help I can get!

I think you are just getting confused since these have a single sided crankshaft.  Just slip the large end of the connecting rod over the offset stub shaft of the crankshaft.

Do you mean that the counter weight came off the crankshaft? If so, you need another crankshaft as these parts are not meant to come apart.

 and that's what confused me

Just ordered a new conencting rod and piston/ring!

 figured it out now
 but thanks for the help
