All the principles are the same. The squish clearance is the same .020" or .5mm figure.

Reeds are not used much in current chainsaws and other OPE's like weed whackers etc.

The chainsaw guys often play around with the 48cc to 64cc saws. Not so much with the 30cc size. But like I said, all the ideas are the same.

The current name brand professional chainsaws will run right up against 14,000 rpm right off the shelf show room stock.
