You guys are right, but..................they weren't selling. No business case can be made that they should be kept around.

Of all the brands Kevin listed, including my favorite Jonsered, it's fair to ask how many would have survived to this day on their own. Perhaps none. I doubt any of them were strong both financially and in market share. Look at some of the saws that Jonsered was coming out with between the classic 70E era stuff and the buy out. Hardly saws that make anyone's favorites list. Would what happened to Homelite or McCulloch have been a better fate?
