Looks like I may have quite a few to cut and hang, Southern Pine Beetles I think, from what I've seen they seem to be in the bigger pine and the ones harder to get to.

Does this look like pine beetles?

Another thing to consider is wind speed and direction while felling trees.
As I explained about felling with the trees natural lean off of a face of the timber stand.
You need a backup plan if you get a bad wind screwing up your felling. A 2nd face will be needed with a different angle on the timber stand to work with the wind.
One thing you quickly come to realize when felling trees, you can't fight the wind. Haha.
