yep I cut a lot of lodge pole pine up the mountains every year, about 20 to 30 trees.     I have a winch that I can strap to another tree and then pull the hang up down.   I also will pull a tree over when the lean is the wrong way and I need it to fall in a certain direction.   It works pretty good.

The winch is just a cheap harbor freight that did not cost a lot to get but it does the job.
