I reach for my 450p with 20" bar laced with 3/8 lp 7 pin. Light and just a darn good all round saw.

Most of my saws are 42cc or less, and I could cut 90% of my fire wood with them.  Especially the ported 42cc Poulan with the 19" lo pro GB bar.

Even the little 32cc Mac with the 12" bar is extremely useful and will cut a lot of wood.

Not bad for 42cc.   But I think I would be happier with a Poulan 295, and the weight on the 295 is pretty light.

I use my Poulan S25's and Micro series saws a lot.  One is always in the truck.  Lately I have been using my Honelite Super E-Z AOW.  Nice to have a small, light saw that'll do 'medium saw' work if needed.

And nobody has made mention of the amazing Husqvarna 42,242,246 series. :) Probably among the most impressive bang per pound saws ever produced..

Yes I do Roger.  It's a stout little bugger.  Very torquey 42cc reed valve saw. 



Early pic of it the day it arrived.  I cleaned it up and replaced the ignition module and crank seals.  Also replaced the plastic FW cover (and matching starter pawls) with an earlier mag cover as I like the look of it better.  The full wrap handlebar is very handy.



After going through it and changing the FW cover, ignition, and crank seals.  Runs a 59DL (16") loop of Oregon 76 very well.

Yes, my similar 2775 is narrower and a little bit lighter, but somehow I like the feel of the 42cc saws better.

Nor have I mentioned my GZ400/4000 and clones, of which I would say the same.  So many choices for really nice little saws, but the GZ4000 is a jewel.
