Neat idea.

Guy I used to cut with used the big chain type hand com-along type  deal.  For the same uses as you are it seems.
Used to be able to pull dang trees whatever direction you wanted.  IMO it would have pulled them down till they broke without cutting.



Not a new idea that is for sure but it was not very expensive to get a winch from HF.   With a coupon it was 170.00 dollars and the battery I already had for a winch on my trailer.    The mount I used some scrap metal from past projects.    The mount is actually pretty simple and did not take much metal.    I did not want to make any more heavier then necessary.   The wagon really came in handy.
