352s
« on: August 26, 2012, 12:40:24 am »
Greetings. I just picked up a 352s from a local pawn shop and I am impressed.Light very well balanced and runs the way I want it. I did remove the limiter caps. Now the question. As of now it has a 16BC with the Oregon 91 series chain with .043.What I would like to know is if this saw would be able to pull a 325 on a 16 inch 050  bar?Are these bars available for this saw. My Husy 36 used the same set up. I would like that extra strength if possible, Thanks Ken

it's a 35cc saw. it isn't going to pull .325 chain,but they can pull regular lo-pro 3/8.
give it a proper muffler mod, remove the cylinder base gasket and throw on a loop of oregon 91vxl.
thats the only help these need. :)
btw, the husky will be faster changing it out to lo-pro also.
when I grow up, i wanna be an adult.

Also try a loop of the stihl chisel chain that came out on the 201 in low pro. It's PS3 3/8LP picco and there is a thread on it.  Best cutting LP chain I have run and tested in limbing  bucking cuts.

Like a mini RS chain  ;) except it has a safety bumper that is real small and does not bother boring either.
