News to me, and I have doubts that this is accurate. More than a little odd that none of us would have heard about it before, don't you think? If there's any truth to it, the US must not have been involved. I don't understand the "under the Husqvarna name with private labels" statement either?

Only private labeling that I'm aware of Solo doing was for Homelite; producing the 290 and 340. But that was more 80's than 70's from what I remember.
