Thanks for the demo

Any time.  A little paying it forward ya know.

Like most I learn best from watching or pictures.

And the dreaded Stihl clammy.

There was a guy that used to bring a 350 down with him for our little mini gtg's years ago. I think it had a ported NE346 top with the 357 199 carb.

That guys video from your state ( I think) making the new spacer for one to run the bigger topend was over the top.  :o 8) 8)
Has he ever finished up on that one?

Thanks for sharing the video, now guys can see some options in front of them.

Yes its done and runs just like a ported 359.  He was just up Monday to get more parts for another one......and drop off a free lathe for me :)

He has a base cut to accept the 272 top end as well but forgot that cylinder in my shop.

I may add, this is the kit Somonians sells on ebay.  It comes with all parts needed to do the conversions.  Could have ordered it all my self but it was convenient lol

I have heard of 272 stuffed in husky 50 on the race circuit.

Which one?

This one.  Cylinder quality was decent.  Transfers as they opened int the cylinder could use some clean up but would work just fine.  Clips SUCKED

Mitch on the 1st kit I posted what is he talking about on large transfers (why is that kit listed like that I wonder)? I've really never noticed a difference in the ones I have had off by looks.  You?

No idea.  Always assumed he was pointing out the 346 style closed trans.
