Looking for the basic setting for a carb with limiter caps. I would assume it would be 1 turn out from seated. Just wanted to make sure.

Why wouldnt you pull limiter caps and tune the saw?

I would pull caps.  Turn in H and L till lightly seated. Back out 1 1.25 to 1.5 and fine tune from there.  Just going from my other saws in the past.

This is per owners manual with stops still on.
MS 360

http://www.stihlusa.com/WebContent/CMSFileLibrary/instructionmanuals/MS360_Manual.pdf

This setting provides an optimum fuel-air
mixture under most operating
conditions.
With this carburetor it is only possible to
adjust the engine idle speed within fine
limits.
Standard Setting
:
Shut off the engine.
:
Check the air filter and clean or
replace it as necessary.
:
Check spark arresting screen in the
muffler and clean or replace it as
necessary.
:
Turn the high speed screw
(H)
counterclockwise (max.
3/4
turn) as
far as stop.
:
Turn low speed screw
(L)
clockwise
as far as stop. Then back it off one
quarter

I cut the tabs, just have always used what stihl says in the service book. They usually list a basic setting with the caps removed that is what I am looking for.
