NSR, but a bar oil related question

Been exploring using Lucas Oil product in my high mileage Toyota truck. You know, the oil they have in the plastic gear display on the counter at most NAPA auto parts stores. One side of the display has standard 30wt that doesn't stick to the plastic gears when the handle is turned and the other side has the Lucas product, which sticks to the gears like pancake syrup. Was wondering today if there's much difference between that oil and your average "sticky" bar oil. Anyone know if a little bar oil mixed with the regular stuff would do the same thing? Just curious.

I believe most bar oil uses polymers additive to make it stick, I think the Lucas and STP additive are essentially ultra refined petroleum products (oil)
Not sure if that would work well once the oil gets hot.
