I only on rare occasion visit yonder site .A few weeks I saw my picture and felt they certainly would delete the whole thread but much to my surprise they did not .

Never the less a warrenty is just that and only covered for a specific period of time which had elapsed. Case closed .

211, 230, and 250 series. All the same Stihl family. They are plastic body home owner saws.

They do pretty good as a limbing saw. Some are 3/8LP and some are .325

I can just imagine his conversation with the guy at Stihl. I work in wholesale distribution, get those calls every day and it's almost always the one with the low priced entry level unit that does the most squawking.

Actually it is in the same series saw as the ms171, ms181, ms211.

The ms210, ms230, ms250 are of the older series, and seem to be more solid than their replacements.

I have yet to work on any of the new models, but they look cheesy, and the controls and other plastics weak, and the unit is way more expensive.

Got A ms180c I think at school and the tooless cover has **** itself where the nut is fastened to the big fold out handle can't find aftermarket stuff won't buy genuine this thing is a few years old but only on its second chain. Can it be converted or is there no way to fit bar adjuster. And as I have mentioned before you guys in the USA can buy samme saws so much cheaper than here in oz. But I love my old 009 Have 3 really built to last and have cut way above there weight many times

you need a bar stud and (adjuster if I remember right) along with the cover I have changed a a few over. I think I have a tooless cover if you want to go that way
